The Together We Stand Foundation was the driving force behind the creation of Military Family Appreciation Day. A day created to honour and show appreciation to the sacrifices made by military families, held annually on the third Friday in September.

” The families of our Canadian Armed Forces members are tremendously important, but often forgotten glue that keeps everything together back home when our brave men and women in uniform are doing their jobs to keep Canadians safe here and around the world. Their fellow Canadians are often unaware of the enormous sacrifices and long separations from loved ones that these families endure. “

Rick Ekstein, President

Honor those brave families who are left behind while their loved ones are protecting Canada on military operations around the globe.
Show your support for Canadian Military families by sending a letter of thanks, or donate to the families of our Armed Force members across Canada.

Thank you's from Civilians

On Military Family Appreciation Day, a grade 8 class at Rosedale Heights Public School in Thornhill got into groups and wrote short letters to soldiers and their families wishing them the best and showing their appreciation for the sacrifices they make for our country. Click below to read more!
